Stems & Sprockets is an appointment-only bicycle repair and fabrication project based in Pittsburgh’s South Side. Built from a background in BMX, metal fabrication, machining, and hands-on repair work, the shop focuses on practical service, honest communication, and supporting riders at every level. From daily commuters to lifelong cyclists. The goal is simple: keep more bikes functional, accessible, and on the road through repair, maintenance, education, and community collaboration. Stems & Sprockets values sustainability, mechanical self-sufficiency, and local cycling culture over disposable consumerism. The shop operates with a fabrication-first mindset: repair when possible, replace when necessary, and always prioritize function, safety, and long-term usability. Current services are offered by appointment and through community events, collaborative repair days, and rider support initiatives throughout the Pittsburgh region.
